Embedded Systems a sample
Taygeta has a long history with the development of embedded systems. Some have been very large and some have been extremely small. We have primarily
done embedded development that involves signal processing and/or motion control, but if it involves debugging with an oscilloscope, writing device drivers,
writing crt0.o, or programming on bare silicon with no operating system, that is our specialty.
Here are some examples:
-
Autonomous parachute
This parachute autonomously guides itself to its target landing point utilizing sensor fusion techniques
and navigation algorithms developed by Taygeta for this "robot".
-
The Chandra X-Ray
Satellite (Taygeta Scientific worked with Ball Aerospace in the development of two systems on this
satellite, including the X-Ray focus mechanism.
-
The RAFOS float. Taygeta took the early concept of this passive oceanographic drifter and, created an operating system for it and turned it into a general purpose drifting instrument platform.
-
motion control and path planner for SCARA Robot Arm silicon wafer handler
-
Our autonomous walking robot roboty.
-
Several Magnetic strip Readers, including variations which include pin pads and hand readers.
-
A device to make a Palm Pilot a two-way pager (back when Palm Pilots were cool).
