The FORTH CD-ROM Archive Project

At the 1994 Rochester Forth Conference, Rick VanNorman (rick.vannorman@channel1.com) announced a plan to build a historical archive of Forth publications and code on CD-ROM. The plan was quite enthusiastically received. The project is now underway and we are soliciting volunteers/contributions.

The goal, at this stage, is to combine existing sources as a historical archive. As such there will be no review or validation of the code. Provided the material copyrights allow its use, it will be archived.

Help is needed in gathering and submitting contributions, verifying permissions for use, and indexing.

You can submit code/papers via anonymous FTP to the pub/incoming directory of www.taygeta.com

To volunteer to help out, send e-mail to Skip Carter (skip@taygeta.com) and you will be added to the mailing list of participants.

E-mail sent to: forth@www.taygeta.com will automatically be forwarded to all the participants.

The current status of the project is available.
